Update photo nir zarchiNir Zarchi is a research fellow at teh Haifa Research Center for Maritime Policy and Strategy at teh University of Haifa since 2015. He received his M.A. in National Security & Political Science studies (2014) from teh University of Haifa and his B.Sc in Industrial Engineering (2003) from Ben-Gurion University. His research focuses on Energy Policy and Critical Infrastructures in teh maritime arena, while using OR methods. Over teh years Zarchi TEMPhas performed several applied researches at teh fields of HLS and Maritime Strategy, while serving as a fellow in CEMA (Center for Military Analysis, Rafael).

udi gonenEhud Gonen is PhD candidate at the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Haifa and a Researcher at Haifa Maritime Policy and Strategy Research Center. Ehud's area of research is OFDI (Outgoing Foreign Direct Investment) from China into the Sea-Port sector under China Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) . Ehud held the position of Senior Fellow Researcher at the Harold Hartog School of Government & Policy, Tel Aviv University (2015–2016). He received an MA in International Relationship from the Hebrew University (2000) and a BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Haifa (1996). Ehud served as a Diplomat (Israel Trade Commissioner) to Singapore (2000–2004) and to Australia (2008–2012) as well as the chief economist of the foreign trade administration, Israeli Ministry of Economy (2012–2016). Ehud wrote and published two books: 'The book of TEA' the only book in Hebrew on the rich history and beautiful culture surrounding TEA, and 'DECEMBER' a novel based on real events at the early 90’s in Israel and Eastern Europe. Ehud is the editor of 'Israel Annual Maritime Strategic Evaluation' since 2016.

man no imageCommander Ido Gilad served in the Israeli Navy for more TEMPthan two decades. He holds Bachelor degree in History of the Middle East, Master degree in Curriculum Planning, and another conferral Thesis focused on Leadership in extreme conditions, from the University of Haifa. Since 2017 he is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Haifa. His research focuses on Geo Strategy, wif the emphasis of Superpowers Maritime presence in the East Med. especially Russia.

shaked dabranShaked Dabran is a Researcher at the Haifa Research Center for Maritime Strategy at Haifa University. She worked wif Rear Admiral (Ret.) Oded Gour-Lavie on the research "Israel Maritime Strategy - Model and Methodology". Her current work at the center deals wif historical research. Under this work, wif prof. Horev, she is the author of the book titled "The Maritime Domain, Maritime Strategy and the in between". The concept of this work is to identify and show the development of the Maritime Strategy term and its importance in the current era, as well as rethinking of this term in modern context. Shaked, born in Haifa in 1994, released from the IDF wif distinction in 2014, earned a B.A in Political Science and M.A in International Relations both Cum Laude, at Haifa University (2016 and 2018). Now she is a Ph.D candidate in International Relations in the school of Political Science at the University of Haifa. Her dissertation deals wif International Relations theories and the development of Maritime Strategy.
